Just curious as to the subjects that people on this forum who are currently in year 10 are picking for next year, and the career choice they had in mind while choosing those subjects.

Myself -
English (Advanced/Standard? Haven't decided yet)
Maths Extension 1
Physics
Chemistry
Some language (possibly, have not completely decided on that either)
and ? (still looking for a 6th subject :( )

Career choice in mind - Forensic science

So how about you?

Maths Extension 1
Chemistry
Biology
Modern History - either that or Physics.

Career choice in mind: Tentatively, something science-related. Even more tentatively, medicine. But really I have no fucking clue.

Oh subject choice is driving me crazy, there is so much I want to do but at hte same time we have a 13u restriction and I know that really I don't want to do more than that!

So far:

English Adv
Eng Ext 1
Maths (2u)
Maths Ext 1
Chem
Phys
An History

Career: well, this changes at least once a week, but, so far either medicine or med science leading into dentistry,

i also want to do speech pathology and it was hard for me to pick subjects that could sorta give me a bit of an insight into being prepared for it. might i also suggest you consider pdhpe in yr 11 and 12 its theory based and goes into great detail about health and the body and how it works. just a thought....

This was edited on 10/09/2006 after subjects had clashes.

3 Unit Maths Advance
3 Unit English Advance
2 Unit Physics
2 Unit Economics
2 Unit Business Studies

Career: Got three main ones in my head. In order (currently):
- Electrical/Telecommunication/Civil Engineer
- IT Related/Programmer
- Commerce Related (Accountant/Finance Related)
Also thinking opening of a business, but don't know what exactly - maybe incorporating into one of those careers.

Does anyone the process of enrolling into a TVET course? My friend said we apply for it separately, and we get "selected" into the course by the Tafe whether we're suitable or not. But I thought we just write it on our selection form and they school will do all the paperwork for us. =S Anyone have info they can share?
