Sorry Your Highness.No, MEng's are only useful if you want to become a project manager/go into an unrelated industry e.g. finance. It's considered a terminal professional degree. Much better off getting an MSc. in engineering, and then moving to a PhD (not a necessity)
And a MSc makes no sense - science and engineering are very different worlds. Very different.
