Unfortunately, i don't think this program is open to UWS students. This was stated on their site.

I applied here http://www.blakedawson.com/Templates/Generic/x_generic_content_page.aspx?id=52389.

edit: what frigid said
Meh, I went (last year) and the best thing was the free nibblies and wine etc...Most of the mooting stuff you'd already know if you had mooted before but it would be good for first timers...Most people used it as a grill the people abt how to get jobs there session

Yeh those questions at the end they seemed weird and pointless.

I was surprised that students who do not have legal experience actually got interviews for BD.

Also they extended the deadline for their applications which I found bizarre.

I will now just wait for the others and see what happens.

rejections normally come first.

I got rejected at about 8 places before getting an interview.

Too early to get disheartened!

Corrs Chambers Westgrath rejection just now.

I am up to rejection number 3.

I have a high credit average and over 1 yr paralegal experience and working in a legal centre. Obviously not enough.

A friend of mine got rejected from the ACCC and didn't get an interview at Attorney Generals despite a HD average and a probable university medal. Who knows what they're looking for!

Gosh, I'm so glad I spared myself the stress of all this. I could never do it.

I agree that what they're looking for must be very specific: I had a friend who had over 4 years of paralegal experience at one of the highest mid-tier firm in Sydney and a D average, and stacks and stacks of extra-curricular and got not ONE interview. Yet another friend who had no experience, a low C average and no extra-curricular got a top, top tier offer. Crazy.

Good luck everyone :)
