i think the most telling stat is this
"As for the audience, they spoke quite loudly when they awarded him the $100,000 from Sprint by an overwhelming 46% Russell to 10% Shambo… and 7% Natalie. Not even close."

of-course rupert is a hero everyone loves him! he set up a charity for children.. coach! ofcourse he is a villain he talks shit calls himself the "dragon slayer" plus nobody like him.... ....the cast is pretty good but imo too many third timers like amanda and james

Rupert a Hero? are you kidding? the first thing he did was steal the other teams stuff, which is why everyone loved him. if we just put the most popular players in the hero pile then people like Russell would end up there too.

and Coach was all about playing with honor and integrity, he wanted to take the best players to the end and beat them. that was his strategy

there is a difference between being a hero and being a popular character, in the same way being a villain and being hated are not the same

(although after watching the initial interviews, coach's gameplay this time has changed, he's a villain now)
