The main problem with 4wd's is that if they hit a normal size or small car from side on they hit the windows and not the body so the people in the car are in trouble.

... But my main issue with them is if you are driving behind them you can't see around them. You can't see if there is a stopped car in the lane up ahead so you can change lanes, or if other cars ahead are slowing down you have to completely rely on the brake lights of the 4wd.

In general I don't like:
The aesthetics (or lack thereof) of SUVs,
I detest driving them as they do not corner as well as my old 1972 volvo,
I hate people who drive them as they are almost invariably: soccer mums who can't park, people who fail to indicate/check mirrors or blindspots when chnaging lanes and/or right wing conspiracy nuts who vote One Nation.
I also hate diesel one because they smell and go slowly.

How do they figure that 4WDs are 'more safe'? Aside from being bigger (so that if you're in a crash, the other mob come off worse), I don't really see it.
