If tan (theta/2)=t, solve for t the equation 12 tan theta = 5 and 180 < theta < 270

I'm getting tan theta = -5 and 1/5 but in the answers it only says -5, why?

180 < theta < 270
90 < theta/2 < 135 hence negative for tan.

Therefore solution must be a negative, hence -5.
