Techniques in paintings (1 Viewer)

For a related text, i'm doing 'you don't belong' by PhatPuppy, it's a painting...
Does anyone have any techniques they can share that would be in paintings coz i don't really know any....

just a couple of techniques (keep in mind i havtn seen the painting)....

chiaroscuro (light and dark relationship), foreground, middleground, composition, size, colour, line, line, shape (organic or inorganic), foreshadwing, vector lines, mise en scene (this is more film though), background etc.

and you can still use normal techniques like...exxageration, juxtaposition, lettering (size and font)

yeah, I guess they're standard techniques. good pointing out ! :)
