School rank :

In the past years, it's been between rank 1 and 5,
but recently it just dropped down and now it's somewhere between 1 and 10.

Ranks (approximations) :

English Adv. 110/120
Mathematics (2U) 79/80
Mathematics Ext. 1 84/85
Business Studies 11/11
Economics 45/45
Legal Studies 26/26

My raw marks are all between 50 and 70 out of 100.
& the marks between the person above me are more prominent with Economics & Legal Studies.
The rest have a relatively smaller gap.

Aim : Initially, i would have aimed for an ATAR of 81, but now, seeing as my results haven't been too positive, i'd be content with 61.

It's really hard to tell

What have been some of the lowest atars at your school previously?

But don't worry too much about it. Get some of your friends to tutor you (as they will be helping you as well as themselves) as even though trials mean a lot, if you do well then your whole school will do well

(I don't think that made too much sense but you get the gist :) )

I think the lowest known ATAR for the past few years was 85,
but then again, the school isn't informed of your ATAR,
so if i, personally, received a low ATAR & was ashamed of it, i wouldn't be telling my school.

If your school is in between Rank 1-5 (or recently Rank 1-10), then statistically, even with your rankings, you should most def be getting higher than 61. You have an extremely strong cohort, if you smash your externals you might even be able to slither into the 90s.

My sister went to Sydney Girls, came bottom 5 for most of her subjects, studied her ass off for externals, got a 96 ATAR. So heh.
