Two simple questions regarding the aforementioned text..

1) Shops closed now so i cant check, but how is the general availability of this book in stores? I wanna get it first thing tomorrow morning..

2) Any news on an newer edition than 7th edition?

I've haven't seen it around while trying to find other books, but you can order it from his site, although online shopping may not be the best choice. I'm pretty sure you can get from dymocks or WHSmith. Borders doesn't have it I don't think

Its not worth spending so much money on a book that your only going to look at for a year.

i dont really care. i was just asking about where i can buy a new copy of the book, no mention of money whatsoever. either way, people pay $30 for tuition, 2x that is basically wat the book is worth

im going to look at this book for a year, they "look" [be] at tuition for 2 hours, so yeah, anyway any other places that stock it?

I got the textbook from the school - the fourth one for 4u actually, plus another one we already have for 3u. So it does look like I need some organisation of the stuff in my locker...:p

So maybe ask your school where to get it?

I dunno about the 7th edition but the 6th edition is riddled with errors. I wonder if he picked up all or most of those errors and corrected them in the newer edition. One thing I like about the book is that it contains worked solutions to every question, which I'm pretty sure most other textbooks don't have. However, if you are not familiar with his own "methods" of solving the problem (which I personally dislike at times because it doesn't help you understand the concepts in much depth) then some of the solutions may seem confusing. If you have met him you may also find that he is quite an arrogant person...lol
