The only question im not sure of was tha probability one about the sum being <45, what did people get for it?

i got something like 143/144

i totalled myself in that area one :|, completely skipped the fact there was a triange and went for 2 integrals ...

me too! except i saw there was a triangle and just couldn't remember how to find the area of it...

I used the sine rule.

Let YM=x and MC = y

x/sin30 = y/sin60 but since there are 2 lots of y
x/sin30 = 2y/2sin60

Therefore x/2y = ratio = sin30/2sin60

0.5/2(root 3)

does anyone know if HSC markers do "error carried forward" when marking the maths paper, if so, thatll save me quite a few marks!!!!

question 6,9 and 10 i struggled with. If i get say 6 out of 12 for those sections i should do alright - I hope.

man i am thankful that it probably wont count towards my UAI i hope cos i do 12 units but it wasnt a too bad test considering the abomnible effort i made for the Catholic trial

i) was 2, ii) was 4. When A=4, V has been reduced to 0 and when v=0, we have a turning point, aka a maximum.

for 9bi) i think i got t=2s as well
but i don't get ii) - wasn't it the displacement from the origin, not the distance travelled? heh "brief reasons" not really
i integrated all three accelerations - a=3, a=-6t, a=-3 and got velocity equations, then i found x equations, and substituted in things... am i completely off track?? lol i think i might be oops

nono, t=2 is the max because it's where a is 0. the secon2 part is t=4 furthest displacementbrcause at that point v=0, and after that goes backwards.
igot the second part wrong but my dad's a maths teacher and he said that's how you do it.

Honestly, that was the easiest test I have ever done..

Easily over 98%.

I think the only thing I may get marked down for is throughout working i rounded numbers but actually had them stored in calculator.. So i may lose 1 or 2 marks for working..

Probability question was very easy, specially <45 as it was impossible to get 47 48 49 with the sum of 2 dies or something like that, dont quote me.

The particle was easy but a few people stuffed it up...

Question 10 was number crunching to the max but still nothing too difficult..

Cant WAIT to get marks back

it was not t = 2 because that was an ACCELERATION vs TIME graph.. not VELOCITy

The velocity was STILL POSITIVE however acceleration was negative.. was t = 4
