bernie is a socialist. not many people would agree with his green new deal policies especially as an economy so strongly dependent on fossil fuel cannot readily transition in such short amount of time as he would like, or as any of us would like. Idk really know much about the energy debate side of things but i just think we should be cautious and more cynical about these so-called "energy friendly" initiatives and companies. Like how friendly are they to birds that get whipped down in the hundreds by the windmills every year? How friendly are these massive green energy infrastructure to protecting bushland and forest? How much of its environmental caps and goals do they actually reach with the government and private funding, and do they actually use that money properly or does it go to someone's pocket, and disguise some sort of political maneouvre? How viable is it economically? Because no one is going to buy electric car if they ain't got money for it.
