ohhmy, the drinks at cruise bar, especially the "do it" <3 too dam nice for 14 bucks
great place to chillout with funk/house(café de mar sort of music) music, very stylish +great view
… but the snobs  one of them gave me the "second class, degraded look"

bday at mylk was great, good music, casual dress code, not too pack nor filled with sleazy bags but the drinks are ripoff + limited selection. got own section to mingle, lots of free drinks, 1 bottle of champaign for free + no line up & free entry for 20 :D:D

i was down at the amber lounge in burwood tonight, love it :D:D
because there’s:

pool tables
not too pack
no sleazy ppls
no snob
a small dance floor
2 bar
have decent coffee + non alcoholic drink ( for me, the new designated driver)
close to movie, restaurant
has parking (unlike the city)
and a good mix of ppls

1: heaps of places have pool tables
2: heaps of places are empty...
3: empty places dont have sleazy people nor snobs
4: isnt a big dance floor better? actually since its empty
5: 3 bars is better than 2
6: city has heaps of parking at night i think...

i win... now send me your tickle profile link!

Hi
I'd like to say how fucking cool the zeta bar is at the new sydney hilton. Everyone should check it out but its a bit selective.

really? I'm planning to go to the Marble Bar at the Hilton on Friday, I'll check out the Zeta bar too. Is it formal or casual?

More slanted to casual but you would do good dressing it up a bit.

I didn't go down to marble bar, that's on a downstairs level (with another sports bar)...the whole place is very minimalist and ultra-modern, you'll see what I mean :)

Also you should know they make you wait in a line outside the actual place because there are only 2 lifts to zeta located outside (just) the hotel. So if it's bitterly cold, you should wait till a lot later when the line dwindles (there was about 15-20 at 10pm but closer to 12am there were almost none).

Alright so what are the recommended nights to go to these places? I'm assuming weekends but are there any good places during the week?

I'd imagine for most/all clubs mon-thu not too many people, friday it builds up a bit, saturday has the most people there and sunday goes down a little again.

I went to check out Zeta and Marble Bar yesterday. They had closed when I tried to get in, at about 1am.

Is tis cause it was a Thursday nite or do they always close this early?

my mates 19th at home on 19th august. his bday in middle of trials which is bummin but at least we got something to look forward to for afters. gonna be a mad night.
