Matrix: 85.95
Actual ATAR: 85.7

bio 83 SOR II 87 GMaths 87 AdvEng 80 Italian Cont. 84 XItalian 38

so disappointed how much scaling affected my mark. got over 90% the entire way throughout the year for Italian Cont. and only got 84 . WTF?!
not happy as this greatly affected my ATAR. thinking of calling the inquiry centre but i reckon ill just get a 'theres nothing you can do' answer
cmon man, as if you went through the whole year not knowing that Italian Cont. would scale you down.

ATAR calcs gave me like 0.6 to 1 higher than my actual ATAR. Makes you kinda feel you got robbed or something but I'm still happy with my result :).

The ATAR calcs seems to be higher than many actual ATARs this year. Except for extremely high ones like 99.5+, The calcs seemed to get those spot on.

Missed the cutoff for law at USYD by 0.05

Not that I was expecting to make it in the first place, it has always been a distant dream but I'm rather annoyed that that very one mark could have made all the difference. Now it's back to hoping/praying/wishful thinking.

And with the really low marks too, my friend was predicted 55.1, and he got exactly 55.1.

I lol'd.

I Got inflicted with an ATAR of 63.75 haha. Most likely due to my unreserved hatred for English as it's taught in the HSC, wasn't planning on uni anyway so meh!
Was talking to a taxi driver on the way to the cross on Thursday night who's daughter was devastated because she got an ATAR of 97.95. Then I told him mine and he laughed...

C'est la vie

All the ATAR calculators I tried (about 3) gave me an ATAR between 80-81. So it was kind of annoying when i got 79.55.

It could fluctuate from year to year. It's just the USyd Law in my year (beginning uni in 2010) was in high demand, so it went up to 99.65. For about 3 or 4 years before mine, the cutoff was 99.55. We'll see how it is this year. :)

got 93.45 and my prediction was 94 as a minimum.
Aim: I realistically aimed for 95

pretty much devastated I wanted 95 sooooo bad!!

do you think i have any chance of B Arts in Communication (Writing and Cultural Studies) /B International Studies at UTS?? - ATAR cutoff apparently 97.35 :(
Apparently heaps of people drop out of International Studies and thus it is easy to transfer into. What country were you hoping for?

The calculator was really accurate for me. It was only like .10 off my actual ATAR.

Re: Disappointed with your results?

I got 97.10 and althought it's good I am disappointed because:

1. My Chem mark was 87 and I did not see the titration question in the exam worth 8 marks so knowing that I couldve easily have gotten another 8 marks kills me
2. I got 88 for maths and knowing that I panicked and came home and was able to do every question 100% besides 12 also pissed me off
3. I got 42/50 for EE2....
shit happens. its life. deal with it.
