Not really.

It was just like a 1 1/2 hr ep of FG. I expected better of them, but then, FG is good enough in itself

i think family guy is running out of material.

but they still sometimes manage to pull off a great gag

It does seem like an extended episode rather than a movie but I guess it seems that way because its a tv-to-movie transition. If the Simpsons do the same thing it wouldnt feel like a movie either, just longer episode or a 1 hour special (like on Channel 10).

I havent seen much of the Family Guy but its still worth having a look at if your a fan.
