Just finished reading Catch-22 by Joe Heller. Great book. One of my favourites.
Am now reading God Is Not Great by Chris Hitchens. Interesting, but a bit low-brow and sensationalist.
Also read Animal Far a few months ago and loved it to bits.

To Kill a Mockingbird - Nelle Harper Lee.
How she wrote the book in a Southern voice, from a child's point of view was a hard task in itself..but I was engrossed in each characters emotions and it was all so believable and genuine. Classic.

the greatest book for me..

well, the greatest catalyst of revolutionary change in my life is ~ 'Conversations with God'.

I also enjoy and admire 'the power of now'

Whilst I agree that The Kite Runner is close to the top (and I even love it after studying it for yr 12 English!!!), I have to say the Lord of the Rings wins hands down.

Another favourite is a bit unknown, so I'll mention it in the hope of getting more people to read it - 'The Outsiders' (not 'The Outsider' which is quite well known) - note the s on the end: it is one of my favourites, it's by S. E. Hinton and it is just incredible!
