For me:

Hospitality [they love cutting the trees down] then the humanites [I do all three] then PDHPE and surprisingly, my English folder isn't really full.

That's when recycling kicks in. I do that all the time with my scrap paper and newspapers

Comsumed by the student: Maths! You can end up using more than a whole page on a three mark question. Induction anyone... :)

Consumed by the teacher: English. Or at least it was for me. Photocopy upon photocopy. It was my heaviest book by the end of the year.

i did 4unit english
5unit history
s&c

i weighed my paper purely from notebooks folders and hand outs (exclusing the mountains of paper through out the year for homework, notes, pip related stuff like interviews) and it was something like 20kgs.

so

humanities and english.

Chemistry's paper consumption is wiping out Tasmania's forests.

I finished an entire folder (full of sheets and my notes from school) for Bio, Chem and almost PDHPE in term 4.

But ask our school's ancient history class, the teacher had to PRINT OFF their textbook because our school is poor and buys the captain's new blazers and useless musical instruments instead.

English & Humanities = Wasting the school's own paper and printing etc.
Mathematics = Wasting your own paper
Well, not really wasting because you need it, but yeah...

gotta say maths

a math student on average would spend printing/doing 120+ past papers for hsc
and if they did extension, x2, not to mention prelim
+ printed math notes, hw, quizzes, exams if they had tutoring
scrap paper for working out problems

o dear =o
whoah if one did that, they wouldn't have an excuse for not getting a band6

i think i only did about 25 past papers in total the whole HSC year and I got 45
