My player ratings for last night;

AUSTRALIA;
Katich - 7 - well batted and an unlucky drop, hes a good player
Gilchrist - 7 - hit Pollock for more than one four. Thats xtreme.
Martyn - 2 - shame
Ponting - 5 - boring batting, good catches
Clarke - 3 - useless
Symonds - 7 - batted average and had a good bowling spell
Watson - 7 - batted alright, but he ran out Pollock. Thats pretty good.
Hussey - 6 - played well, good in the field
Lee - 8 - MoM for me. Great batting and some nifty wickets
Bracken - 6 - Consistent game.
McGrath - 6 - nothing special this time.
White - 1 - Haha, it counted as his debut.

WORLD XI;
Sehwag - 2 - Useless
Sangakkara - 8 - Great game behind the stumps and the only batsman to show some heart
Kallis - 5 - handy with the ball but shit with the bat
Lara - 5 - 5 points just for the catches
Dravid - 3 - come on Rahul....
Pietersen - 4 - good in the field, and cheaply dismissed.
Afridi - 1 - Jackoff.
Pollock - 6 - Bowled at 3.9 an over, but thats not good eniugh.
Flintoff - 7 - Good batting, but thrashed in the bowling
Vettori - 8 - Excellent with the ball, and 3rd hughest runscorer
Shaoib - 5 - Nothing too special. Nice boundaries though.
Murali - 6 - Two wickets, fairly decent.

McGrath did his usual thing, 2 for 13 off 7 overs or something? I'd rate him a bit higher, he really set the tone and had the batters feeling uneasy. Murali did pretty well, standard figures for him but i would prob rate him a 7.

Symonds wont count. Guys always get fast 'not so' 50s. I think Akhtar recently [02/03] got 47 off 14 or something. I think Gilchrist got the fastest for both [by an Australia and in Australia]. We wont see Afridis world record go until I make my interantionl debut ;)

As for this 328. FARK ME. Carn Polly! I'm looking toa big start from Sehwag and Sangakkara, then some pile up of runs from Kallis and Dravid. Lara to back up. Is Pietersen out?

Oh well. Put up a fight boys.

i think gayle is gunna open with sehwag.

with mcgrath injured, it should be a great contest. if peterson is injured, i am sure he will still take field (maybe with a runner) that will be a awesome to have him just standing and delivering.

edit: how bullshit...ch 9 is showing current affair. i fuckin hate them for that.

This has the potential to turn out very interesting if WXI don't lose their wickets too quick.

kallis you fuckin idiot!!!!

sif you wouldnt sacrifice your wicket for sangrakara at that stage!!!
(he probably didnt have enough time to react at that stage, so i'll give him that, but in the replays he did look to go back to his end...)

sangakara ruined a perfectly good game of cricket getting himself run out, but then again i reckon kallis should have sacrificed himself.

Meh I think it's time to change the pace attack, it aint working. Draft in Ntini for Aktar, or bring Shane Bond into the squad :/
