hey,

my msn address to add is savage_chick29@hotmail.com - i'll be back on it as soon as the internet is fixed on my computer.

i've got some notes but dont know how good they r - teachers gave them out begining of topic - i'm pretty worried about this topic atm cause it seems like all we are doing r 'writing tasks' which are driving me nuts'.

Nice to c others doing it though.

Hello all - just home from school and i thought i'd give u a run down on what we've done at our school for Wild Swans. (basically running though my folder)
- we have an assesment task - which is last years old HSC question
- Close study questions on the book, (which we did in groups and photocopied for everyone)
- item from spextrum magazine
- interview iwth Chang
- review on book
- Essay questons on text
- ideas on mao
- history of china summary
- study guide
- that essay from this site (by the way that was a band 4 responce)
- note from DT HSC Study guide (which is actally not to bad, i'll c if i can find a link)
- more essay questions
- plot timeine
- revision stuff
- more essay quetions
- teachers close study (basically what happened)

then my stuff
-photocopied from excel guide and some toher guide with WS in it
- notes of this board (go seach wild swans and u can find them somewhere here)
-and
more essay questions

So thats what we've got, happy to share...

yet no one in the class has any idea about how to write anything on WS...
Its shocking texts i've decided...

oh yeah. i still have some notes. id like to get rid of them if i may. add me on msn, tell me your name and if i find you worthy (or if you get to me first :p) ill give you my old notes. its not much but it might help a little.

obviously my skrzynecki notes wont help much, but the wild swans/emma stuff might. i have rftg stuff too.

EDIT/ Offer retracted

also, can i get a show of hands of who goes to sefton here? im an ex sefton student and im willing to help out. im just curious how many people at sefton use bored.

:D Wah, little Seftoners! Hello! I was one last year. Ah suckers, Wild Swans was a difficult text (although it surprisingly helps to be in Ms Repins class).

You will grow to hate the book if you haven't already. Basically it's this.

It lacks textual intergrity.

There are many possible readings in terms of:
a) Genre (sometimes it's a fictional type, sometimes family saga, sometimes historical)
b) Audience (West v East)
c) Time (90s v Now, where we aren't so anti communism)

I remember our class having lots of trouble with it, but I think it was probably my most well written essay. I would give you my notes, but errr they might recognise my work.

Hope that helps!
