Our AoS for Advanced English is "The Outsider". For our assessment task, we have to collect and analyse at least five texts (novels, film, cartoon, poems etc.) which are about "The Outsider". Our core text is "Maestro - Peter Goldsworthy". Anyone got suggestions on what I can do for the other five texts? ><"

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks. :)

Uuurgh.. I'm trying to find texts for alienation too :( Though our core text is Othello...

Maybe... Country of the Blind? (We did this in class so we can't use it again)
Death of a Salesman
I have quite a few friends doing Alice in Wonderland/The Lion King/ The Hunchback of Notre Dame and many of them are doing the Edward Scissorhands one..

I dunno...I still can't really think of any to do.. I don't wanna do texts that my friends are doing... :(

We got given a list of texts that relate to "The Outsider". Here it is if anyone wants it:

Shrek
Poetry by Les murray, Oodgeroo Noonuccal (Kath Walker), Peter Skyzynecki
Pleasantville
Napoleon Dynamite
Happy Feet
Benny and Joon
Edward Scissorhand
Looking for Alibrandi - Melina Marchetta
The Messenger - Angelo Loukakis
Wuthering Heights - Emily Bronte
Of Mice and Men - John Steinbeck
To Kill a Mockingbird - Harper Lee
Lord of the Flies - William Golding
The Catcher in the Rye - J. D. Salinger
Shane - Jack Schaefar

I havne't seen/read most of them so I have no idea what they're like.

Anyone got any other suggestions? >_> ahh I'm so screwed for this. Anyone know any songs to do with "The Outsider"?

The Love Song of J Alfred Prufrock by TS Eliot

It's our core text for our AoS Identity. Deals with the alienation of an individual from society.

The Current Year 11 Syllabus is completing the unit “The Outsider”. The text we are using at my school is a book by Scott Monk called “Raw”. This book can be picked up or ordered from your local book shop.

An ~oMg~ awesome book for this topic would totally be "The Outsider" by Albert Camus.
