Don't get me wrong, I'm not buying into this just like that, but certainly extremely interesting...

thoughts?

edit: No, it's not oil, so don't leave if that's what you're thinking....

He sais that about Iraq, but Iraq may prove to have the largest oil reserves in the world, also they're profiteering like crazy of Afghanistan's poppy fields, whether they make money directly off opium+ heroin or not.

Libya definitely has alot of oil ( 2nd highest I think) and that's one immediate reason to intervene, however making a move which may effect the banking institutions of America is very significant, as alot of American Influence comes from the global banks that America runs or private individuals have a broad influence in, with these banks being intertwined or interdependent with global businesses.

America knows it doesn't care about human rights or stable countries, Obama himself constantly talks of the needs to protect 'America in the fight against terror' or simply 'American Interests'. In matters pertaining to the latter a country with a dictator who kills many of his people or a country that has civil war and genocide does not matter as long as their are not strong vested interests by American companies, banks or private, powerful individuals.

Just look at Rwanda, no one ever intervened beyond a few minor contributions, the UN itself did nothing even though the crime that was taking place is the one thing they must avoid, even so they said nothing and waited for a situation in another country were the situation was nowhere near as dire to intervene as its largest member-states had interests there.

Don't both of these countries want to remain free of Western influence? I'm sure that the reason why the US intervened was due in part to the rebels in Libya saying that they did condone intervention from them.

Yeah and as soon as they do anything you'll be complaining about American Imperialism

Give me one good reason why America should send its sons to die in some African shit hole for absolutely no reason in benefit to them
