Re: The Official Tennis Thread

That's too bad. I'm bored of Federer winning every grand slam title.

Fed why can't you give this chance to new players. *rolls eyes*

Federer (the greatest player in history) on his day >>>>>>>>> Murray on his day
Federer's not the greatest player ever...pretty hard to say who's the greatest player ever. But, Murray can only get better from now on and hopefully a grand slam success for him isn't too far from now, possibly this year.

Lol give me a break, Federer is 28 and has won 16 grand slams. He's iconic, godlike, flawless. He's the perfect athlete. Anyone and everyone whose watched the man knows that there has never been and never will be anyone like him.

Re: The Official Tennis Thread

I think Federer would be the greatest tennis player, no way of telling of course so no real point talkin about it.

That 3rd set was pretty riveting, awesome match and grats to him.

Re: The Official Tennis Thread

Let's just say: Federer is the greatest player of his era. Nuff said.
On his day no one can beat him imo.

I'm definitely going to Melbourne next year for Aus Open, have to watch Federer play live at least once.

Federer is a great player but what's quite fascinating is that Nadal is almost like Federer's kryptonite lol.
At only 23, he's got 6 grand slam titles and 5 of those came from beating Federer LOL. So expect him to be snapping at Federer's feet for quite a long time, especially when they meet in a grand slam final.

As for that final, it would have been much more amazing if it wasn't straight sets. It was generally quite boringly one-sided until near the end of the third set.

Hopefully, but Nadal's style of play means that he's quite prone to injuries.

I was wondering whether you guys thought Roger looked 28? To me he looks much older, he could be thirty or forty or something. *shrugs*

Maybe because he's been around for ages? :p
I dunno, he doesn't look that old to me. 28, yes, not 40, though.

Davis Cup win was good. No excuses to not get back into the main world draw again now.

Hopman Cup on ONE & Brisbane International on Seven at the moment. Much more to come soon.

Yes, Australia's season of tennis has begun.

Thoughts?
