first 6 eps of s2 are really boring. the whole 'look for sophia' thing is so damn stupid. DEFINITELY picks up episode 7 onwards, and what i've seen of s3 (first 4 eps) it has been really good

that said, i'm growing tired of rick's character, and michonne, who looked so damn epic in her intro has zero personality which destroys her character for me.

This, so much this.

The way he degenerated throughout the second season was just upsetting. I'd take Shane over all the other characters excluding Rick and Darryl.

Rick also needs to stop losing his shit every two minutes.

Season 1 was by far the best, as is the case with many shows. Season 2 was pretty shit. The first half of this season was amazing! However, after the mid-season premiere I feel that its just fallen dramatically in the quality of the script and plot. It's like the writers don't know where they're going, somewhat like the first half of the second season. The only reason I'm still watching is because Lennie James is contracted to come back, and if the writers go back to the quality of season 1 and integrate him successfully into the plot, then it has amazing potential.

EDIT: did you stop when Carol was "killed" in the tombs?

Darryl would be number 1 on my list, then Glenn. Not Michonne though. Too unpredictable (so far - unless she likes/trusts you), although you get a glimpse of her soft side in the latest episode.

Rick is starting to piss me off though. His mental instability is going on for a bit too long.

no. Disliked his character from the beginning.

As for season two, I skipped 2 episodes and realised Shane died so went back and watched it.
This season is living up to hype (although tonight's episode was stretched a bit too much).

Season 3 mid-season premiere was terrible. I can't believe they made the fans wait months, and then we were given that crappy episode. However it is definitely picking up, loved the last episode.

Yeah, by the end of the second season I could barely wait for him to... expire.

But honestly, I would've preferred that Lori had died at the beginning of season one. Then Shane and Rick could have been best friends 5eva and we would have been spared that entire drama.

Nup. I wasn't convinced she was dead because we didn't see a body and their love can last 5eva. Also they're pretty much my OTP so there's no way I'm ever giving up on that.

Michonne is a boss. She's not unpredictable at all. You know exactly how she's going to act because you know how she's going to preceive and respond to situations. And she would do anything to protect you if you're friends (obvs we'd be friends) and smart. Look at her whole idea of chopping off zombie arms/jaws.

You guys need to grow up. Rick's mental instability is fairly reflective of what it would actually be like. Remember the baby is only a couple of weeks old or something so Lori has only been dead for a few weeks and it takes months/years for people to recover from something as traumatising as that so it's NOT dragging on for too long.
