Thanks for that, ill keep it in mind. It's all over my application and resume anyway, so I'm not going to push the point at the interview.yeh, thats close.
Officially:
Our code of conduct p.21 conflict of interest - "examples of conflict of interest are : do business or are employed by a company that is a competitor of Woolworths Limited."
- you are supposed to declare that you work for Target.
Unofficially:
I know people who work for both and haven't declared it and nobody cared. As was mentioned above, as long as you don't disscuss your work at Target at Woolworths and vice versa and are not in a management position I think you would be fine.
You also have to declare it for Taxation reasons to.yeh, thats close.

Well, I got the job Had the interview yesterday and got the call this morning. I have two training/induction nights next week.
They were pretty interested to hear if I intend to stay with Target, but as I'm not sure at the moment, I just said I don't want to quit without having a reliable job there in its place. Realistically, I'd like to stay with target because they're extremely flexible (only roster you within your availabilities, allow shift swaps, don't hold grudges etc) and I like working there for one shift a week. Anyway, so they do know that I'm still currently employed there.
I've also been trying to sort out my tax stuff too, because I want to stop claiming the tax free threshold with Target and claim it with Safeway instead (I'll probably have more hours at Safeway). Thankfully I have a friend who's an accountant - she's being awesome and helping me understand it all
Thanks for the help everyone!
You win(i shall not be beat!)
WELCOME TO WOOLWORTHSSSSSSSSSSSSSS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Are you part-time?How much time do I have to allow my Manager to find a replacement, if I intend on cancelling my shift? I'm rostered on to work Wednesday night, however something has popped up at school of which I need to attend. Would ringing them this afternoon be acceptable? Or is it too late?
I can do the shift if worst comes to worst, I'd just like the night off to attend the info sesh. Thanks.
I am a casual.Are you part-time?
Since you are a casual it should be swell if you call now and say you can't make it.I am a casual.
Do you work at BIG W??I gave them a ring a little while ago. My managers had all left for the day though. So I'll prob give them a buzz first thing in the morning. Hopefully all is sweet.
Cheers.
Nah, Woolies.Do you work at BIG W??
Yeah since you are a casual and if you give lots of warning you should be all good.
Big w is pretty good, would be the same as Wolloies.Nah, Woolies.
I'm kind of worried, because my shift starts within less than 48 hours. I have, however, had shifts cancelled on me at short notice, so I guess it goes both ways.
You with Big W? What's it like?
I dislike Woolies. Too physical.Big w is pretty good, would be the same as Wolloies.
