Re: them cityrail moments

- drunk girls making out on the train then noticing that one girl was fingering the other (gross)
- train getting searched by like 50 cops then seeing one guy get arrested
- One guy actually sticking his head between the doors to catch the train (idiot)
-Train getting delayed on the morning of my exam the first delay i had all year
- seeing some crazy women talking to a pole
-my train been cancelled, then the connecting service leaving early delaying us by about 40 minutes

I can probably think of more

Re: them cityrail moments

I was on the peak hour train into the city during exams one year and all these school cunts were yelling and screaming and carrying on. I'd had enough, so I got up and bellowed at them "WOULD YOU KINDLY SHUT THE HELL UP, I'M TRYING TO STUDY."

They did.

All the suits on the train smiled at me.
This happens a lot to me, not me yelling but other people, and I find the kids always shut up so quickly, it's so amusing!

When swine flu was big, a lady came into my packed carriage and told everyone to keep their germs to themselves and to not spread swine flu because then we'd be in lockdown for 2 hours and SHE wouldn't be able to get home which would annoy her. Pretty sure she was going from carriage to carriage saying this!

There was a couple with a set of playing cards and a lovely white powder, 1 guess what they were doing. They didn't care who saw.

Two asshole kids commentating on everyone in the carriage trying to get a reaction out of them. Wanted to punch them so hard.

A couple that was clearly in a fight, the girl was balling her eyes out and the guy was just ignoring her staring out the window, or hissing back at her and eventually she was just pleading with him to talk to her, and he started to pretend to sleep, so she got off at, I assume, her stop, and he 'woke up' and started reading a magazine. It was like a soap opera.

A woman on the phone talking about how weird it would be if her son's friend died.

A woman was on the phone and clearly got a job offer (just the way she was speaking/what she was saying) but then she hung up and started punching the air haha that was just cute really.

Bogans talking about the 'bastard pigs' that are out to get out, then proceed to talk about how long they are on parole and how bad jail is, "really, don't try it."

A woman who kept jumping off at every stop to light up a cigg, took about one puff and had to put it out and jump back on. So desperate, so amusing since she seemed so annoyed everytime!

There are surely more but that's what comes to mind atm.

Re: them cityrail moments

i mean those are mechanical doors, how could a sticker hold them shut?
The doors may be mechanical, but they are weak enough that if someone got caught in between them, they wouldn't do too much damage.

I guess they'd use the same amount of force while opening?

Besides, those stickers are designed to last for years. The adhesive on them is extreamly strong, and is even waterproof.

Have you ever tried to tear a page by pulling it in opposite directions, not by ripping it? It's a hard thing to do as the force is dissapated evenly throughout the sheet of paper making it hard to break. The same principal applies here. The stickers are also most likely manufactured with strong soft plastic-like material, so that would add to it's overall strength.

:D.

Re: them cityrail moments

I was on the Metlink in Melbourne today, heading from Frankston to Southern Cross Station (Spencer st.)...

I'd noticed that half to doors on the train didn't open automatically, so there was a knob on them so you could open them manually (wtf? They closed on their own!).

We pulled up at the underground Parliament station. Some suit was walking towards the door of the train with his head buried in his blackberry. He didn't look up.

BANG! - He ran head first into the unopened door.

A majority of the people on the train started laughing.

The dude picked himself up off the floor in the most dignified way possible, and walked three carriages down :D.

Re: them cityrail moments

Okay, where do i start.
First two carriages of the train i was on derailed, this time last year in January about 4:30ish pm.
Announcment was made to get everyone off the train. Police officers, cityrail staff were the first there on the scene. I got off the train, saw a bunch of people ushered out of the carriages by police officers (at this point i thought there was a fight in the carriage because they all came out looking like they had been dealt a blow to the head )

Then, everyone pointed out it was a derailment.
Evenutally Cityrail, organised a train to catch on a different platform home :). So i got home 1 hour late but i came home with the best excuse: "turn on channel 7".
It was Breaking news.

Re: them cityrail moments

I heard what sounded like a man swearing at his girlfriend, and the girl crying. I think i heard the guy hit her too but no one did anything. :(
i was scared too when i saw how angry the man's face looked. Didn't dare make eye contact with him.
Everyone in the carriage (upstairs and downstairs) was scared too, judging by their responsiveness to hearing it.

Oh yeah, and might i add only a few people suffered serious enough injuries to be taken to hospital by the ambulance service.

Then the fire brigade came, to help get the train back on the rail tracks.

Re: them cityrail moments

Making my way back to the coast, found 3 VB long necks, still cold. I quickly took them and jumped and luckily enough, the next stop was mine.

A mentally ill person shitting them selves and stinking out the entire carriage.

Coming home from the city on NYE, the train is packed and everyone is sitting in the isles, some girl decided to puke everywhere, covering a number of people.

Coming back from the city once more, the train is packed and two butch dykes have their prams interlocked, preventing anybody going down stairs where there were seats available. 2 Minutes later, a druggo guy wearing a Hawaiian shirt brawls with them.

Coming home from NYE this year approaching Gosford, a fight breaks out and a guy is stabbed and slashed infront of me. The train stops at Gossy and gets raided by transits / cops.

Re: them cityrail moments

Two quite amusing moments....

1. I was in a primary school right next to the railway line tht has a bunch of people that are short of a few quid upstairs if you get my drift...they spend their lunchtimes watching the trains go buy (quite slowly cos their right at the station). One train comes by and they make their usual comment of "train" completely failing to notice the guy with his pants down pissing between carriages.

2. Sitting on a train with some mates one the way home from school (which was right near the beach), we notice this very attractive girl of about 18 or so sitting oposite, she's wearing a very long towel and shows no signs of any other clothes. When the train got to her station, she stood up and the towel stood up to reveal she had nothing on underneath.
