before i go off explaining something which could potentially be wrong, is the answer by any chance 67.996L of gas produced?Jooooo said:the question is: calculate the theoretical volume of gas produced at 25 C and 100kPa by the reaction of zinc with 200mL HCl. Its Q22 from the 2005 HSC
well u find the reaciton and balance it. and u know taht 200mL of HCL is used. so u find the amu of HCL and divide 200 by it. thats how many moles u got. then if u've balanced it properly, u divide the mole number by 2 cause theres half as much H2 gas produced. Lastly u multiply whatever answer u got by 24.71.LottoX said:How on earth would you know the answer without knowing the molarity of the HCl? It could be 0.00000000000001 mol/L HCL or it could be 1 mol/L.
