Hey Everyone I have a practicle exam in a week which is weighted at 20% and i was wondering if anyone had any tips for the test.. like any common mistakes made or any tips 2 gain extra marks in the test fanks

This isn't very ethical advice, but you should tryin use it... :p
Wherever you can, bullshit answers after getting the feel for them...
Eg. If your timing how long it takes a bob to rotate 20 times around you..
And the exp requires you to do it 5 times over...
Just do the exp twice and make up values for the rest of them...
Everyone probably already does this, but meh...
Oh and, when you're revising tryin remember what the answers to an exp might be...
So that you'll know if you've got a wrong answer for the q's...

just do your prac next to someone really smart. :D

you'll generally be given questions like how you can improve the experiment. which is ofcourse better equipment, repetition, etc...

know some formulae, like the oscillation experiment dash is talking about.

hey thanks guys,

yeh im not to sure what the test is on the teacher is being full sly i was just trying to find out the main things that a teacher will look for in the exam no matter what it is

you'll probably have to find possible sources of error.

If its something with a stopwatch where you have to time something there is always the human error of synchronisation. Just say something about making the event longer so that errors will matter less. Make the ramp longer, instead of finding the time for one period, do it for 10 periods then divide by 10 etc etc.
