i was wondering if you use alice in wonderland--> the book
and Peterpan the film , is that ok............. or are they too similar as the both portray the imaginative journey as a method of transiation from childhood to adulthood???

similarities are good for your essay
it makes it much easier to integrate
and gives you alot of aspects to compare

but u want to show that you have a broader understanding of journeys then just a childs one..

Throw in some big words and sophisticated analysis (ie. philosophical waffle w/ lots of adjectives and adverbs) and you'll be right :D
