yeh its because the uai's dont change immensely, but the gpa (or the % change in the gpa) varies highly. eg - a 1 point change, from 3.00 to 4.00 is a change of 25%, which in turn will increase the 'final score' by 0.125rhapsody11 said:Hmm, there seems a big discrepency... That's odd.
i am sure it has been mentioned here and when i spoke to the lady in w3a.620, she mentioned that they use 50-50 of uai and gpa (i am pretty sure of this, about a 97% confidence interval).AsyLum said:Its more to do with your GPA if im not mistaken
i am going to contact maggie liston (as advised) and get the low down. got my list of questions ready.
the mq gpa system works differently. and of course, your uni may have a different policy for transfers.Not-That-Bright said:Really? I have a uai of 86.15 and a (if i keep up my marks this semester in my exams) Gpa of 5.75 (I dunno if our gpa's are calculated the same, but I got hd/d/d/p first semester, and I predict hd/d/c/c this semester.
