Just wanted to say, a lot of people who post in this forum do achieve very high marks and UAI's, so it's not necessary to compare yourself with the people here. (I did bad too, sniff sniff) It is only important to compare your marks with yourself. If you didn't do well or didn't work hard for the trials, then you need to try and improve for the real HSC exams. On the other hand if you have already tried very hard and still not doing that well, then try to learn from your mistakes and don't ever ever give up.

Just my $0.02.

Well I wouldn't really say I stuffed my trials up, but I kind of messed my rankings up by just messing up in the earlier assessments. I suppose that counts too. I could have quite potentially topped 2unit advanced maths, economics AND legal studies if I hadn't screwed up in the earlier assessments... Hell.. I even had half a shot at getting SOR1 but I killed my chances for that one by getting 44/50 for the SOR1 trial...
Same!! Sucks hey :( Just knowing that you could still be 1/2/3rd.. ow, my feelings :(

You're welcome Joel.

Well I did my HSC last year and did terribly bad. I didn't work hard at all, which I very much regret now. :(

But when I got into B Industrial design at UNSW, I thought "Hey this is my first preference, I got into what I want, what more can I ask for?" But I was wrong.

As I quit the course after one semester, now I am waiting, just like you all, for the release of (not the UAI) but the uni offers as I want to get into UWS B Arts.

So I am having a terribly hard time waiting.......and waiting......and waiting...

Sorry my post was so pointless. I hope you'll get to do what you want to do in life. But remember, there are always solutions. Just don't ever ever give up.

Take care.

Oh and I'm sorry that I didn't answer your question.

When I say 'compare yourself with yourself' it basically means, just try and improve yourself in both marks and your attitude towards life. Like say you didn't do so well for the trials, you still have the real HSC to do. Where now, you aim to do MUCH better than your trials. Therefore, you compare your marks with your own marks, not what other students from another school has got.

But marks are just numbers.

It's the attitude towards life, and towards people that matters the most.

lol

Sorry I spoke wayyyy too much.

Best of luck.
