In word if I put words into a textbox or take a screen shot and paste them in then they do not count in the word-count. Does anyone know if turnitin.com sees through it?
The whole point of the word count is to teach you to be efficient and effective with your language. If you can't express your ideas in the word count, you're doing it wrong.
I'm not sure if TurnItIn is able to detect plagiarism in picture and other graphic data, but you can test such a thing in http://www.plagtracker.com/, so you will know for sure before turning your paper.
Pretty sure the newer versions of turnitin would pick it up, as it now has compatibility to scan PDF and other document types. Even if it doesn't pick it up, the marker sure would.
