wanted to stab my eyes out as i didnt find edward attractive at all.

putting it away from the books, it could be an enjoyable teen trash flick.
(considering i didnt really like the books and am NOT on the twilight train)

jasper however was damn attractive and charlie's lines made me lol.
anorite?

This movie was a fucking piece of shit.

I cannot believe I paid 13 bucks for this piece of shit.

The worst jokes, followed by laughter of the idiotic teenage girls that was present.

I cannot believe I lasted the movie, oh my god the shitty script, shitty love story (there was no fuckin development and when the fuck was the complication going to set in?) and just plain horrible.

Waiting outside I could see why this movie attracted so many fucktards, they're all dumbshits walking out of the cinema screaming in excitement 'OMG THAT WAS SO GOOD.'

was so dissapointed because i expected it to be like the book.. which i LOVE.
But i guess it was okay.. just shit me all the extra stuff they added when they left so much great stuff out.. and there were a couple of cast members i thought that let the film down, but i loved all the cullens.

i liked it! but yes, i agree with some of the above criticism.

the main things i had problems with were:
- the crappy meadow scene, that was my favourite part of the book
- bella's prom outfit. tights and chucks? let alone the dress not really looking how it was supposed to.
- the attempts to use some good quotes from the book but putting them in the wrong place and making it sound awful (such as the heroin quote)
- the lack of development in their relationship which made bella's 'i trust you' and 'i dont care' s sound naive and very very silly.

but i suppose they did what they could with the movie right?
i still loved it cause its twilight and i always will.
my favourite scenes were the baseball scene and the scene when they go to school together and he is wearing ray bans :) ahhhhhh!
i agree one hundred per cent.
the only good parts were emmett's italian bella joke, and james with no shirtt

I watched Twilight a few times, obviously not at the movies.

I liked it. :) Every criticism I have to say has already been said.

Yeah.
Some critics here scare me :cold: Such passionate hatred... lol

I hope the next movies are better cos they're making New Moon too. And that Hardwick director isn't a part of it, which must be a good thing.

nah, no matter how good directors are, if the story is shit, the movie is destined to be shit.

but i haven't read the book yet so i cannot really say...

Have you seen it? It's a freakin 2 hours of the book told in pictures. Bores the viewer. With a better director, they would be more of a flow in the story - no matter how shit it is.

But I guess I can't really complain cos I didn't pay a cent watching the movie :)

I saw it yesterday... I loved it. I've read the book but couldn't really compare, it's been a while since I read it.
Any criticisms of it have already been said, but for the most part, I thought it was awesome.

The best thing about that film was Radiohead in the credits. Nah, wasn't that bad, I suppose.

I haven't read the books but I really enjoyed it - robert pattinson definitely had a lot to do with it, as well as being in an almost empty, quiet cinema. Judging it for pure entertainment value as opposed to critquing it, I was never disengaged. My main problem was kristen stewarts acting is some parts, e.g. when she's in the hospital and she's like

"NO! Gah, ugh grrr, I- NO! I- I mean, uh, oooh, NO! You can't say things like that to me! ever!" (extended by about 30 seconds)

like are you retarded? I thought edward was great though, and the bits some people seemed to find funny I thought were daring portrayals of his agony blah blah blah.

I'd watch it again

I'm not sure whether I should see it. I really disliked (like, really, REALLY disliked) the book series, however I've been hearing that the film is a lot better than the book, and that it's really funny. I know that at some stage in the next few weeks I'll have to make a decision, though...
