is the school rank the rank given to the school for the previous HSC results?
if so then you cant really estimate using the school rank for someone in that school. just looking at my school ranks jump around alot. 2005 rank <200, 2007=405, 2008=450. if you can estimate from this then estimate mine.
standard english=1/37
3u math=1/2
4u math=1/1
business studies=1/18
physics=1/6
chemistry=1/6
2008 school rank=450

from reading my post it looks as tho large schools may be able to be predicted but as for small schools like mine its impossible

Yeah, i have the same problem - really small school.
Adv Eng 7/15 80% (top mark is 88%) (Really bombed out in midyears - i was on 86% before the mids :(
Ext Eng 5/5 69% (top mark is 78%)
Physics 3/7 78% (top mark is 82%)
Chemistry 4/8 79% (top mark is 82%)
Anc History 1/6 93%
Adv Maths 8/16 69% (top mark is 93%)
Extn Maths 3/5 50% (top mark is 79%)

Our school is usually in the top 150 and when i plug these numbers into SAM i get about 86 for a UAI but i need 92!!! but i think even ranking is pretty meaningless when the whole of Year 12 is only 32 students! Anyone got any ideas of whether i can get 92?
