These scaling figures are based on the courses with at least more than 5000 students in a year (except English and Mathematics Extension courses, when scaling up is imminent).
Note:
These numbers are measured by magnitude (size), not apparent marks or integers, so if you study Mathematics (not General) you will not apparently get exactly extra 2 marks.
The scaling largely depends on the nubmer of students. If there is an influx of students studying a specific course, e.g General Mathematics and Buisness Studies, scaling may be lowered to weed out students who do are not as dedicated.
You will only recieve positive scaling if you pass that course.
You will not recieve negative scaling if you are within a top position of the course you are studying.
