I'm in sydney and I got mine today. My scores were:

Section 1: 62 (92 percentile)
Section 2: 63 (94 percentile)
Section 3: 71 (98 percentile)

Total UMAT score: 196

200 would have been nice :p but I can't complain with these scores.

So they take into account your total scaled mark score right? and not your raw total score?

Also keep in mind that that's for an interview, not for a place.

Nobody but ACER sees raw scores, and so nobody but ACER uses them.

Also, the only people who should be talking about "shouldn't be applying for med" are med students. Unless you're in, you simply don't know. At a stretch would be people with siblings in medicine, but even that is second-hand experience.

Not impressive, but a great relief. What really shocked me was S3: I guessed practically every single sequence question (although I did manage to remove 2 or 3 of the options for most of the qs), and got only 1 of the T2 shapes. Most of the cohort must have guessed the answers... there's no way I got 50% of the sequences right.

Hmmm... I had no idea I was screwed by S1 so badly. The others are around what I expected. But overall, I am a bit disappointed. I have all of my fingers crossed for an interview now.

For those of you who are disappointed, none of the scores on this page are "bad" - none of you "screwed up". My first attempt gained me percentiles 88, 98, 62 and I broke the UMAT cutoff for interview offers everywhere, as did many people with lower UMAT scores. Don't take the spectacular performances as stock and standard!

Point taken; but places like UNSW use the UMAT as part of selection, so a UMAT that barely gets you an interview is hardly a cause for celebration.

Hi all,
I got UMAT scores of
S1: 55 (percentile 73)
S2: 46 :( (percentile 40)
S3: 60 (percentile 87)

I am really disappointed, especially with S2. Do I have a chance of getting into any Uni with a Umat like this (UAI approx 98)?

Thanks, Sam

hi >monkey<, i dunno about newcastle, but for unsw they have a table that tells you what corresponding UAI you need for your UMAT mark.

it's at http://www.med.unsw.edu.au/medweb.nsf/page/Latest_News

for 157, you'd need a UAI between 99.5 and 100
newc cutoff was about 182-190 last year

Edit : (those are total scores, not percentiles)

edited to add that my UMAT scores were 62, 76 and 58 - all up 196. personally im pretty thrilled :)

Is there still a chance of getting an offer or is it Grad Med at USyd for me?

Just as a ruff point remember that you just sort of want to get your percentiles over about 220ish to get most places. That's really really general but it helps give you an idea. But still keep up your hopes.
