UMAT:
1/ Time is the main killer
2/ there is no "pass" mark per se. Interviews and places can be granted based on the Top XYZ places. It may also be weighted with UAI and Interview scores.
3/ To get a decent score you need to do well over 3 sections.

now whether or not the UMAT is bs, I have no opinion on it. however you need it to get into basically all medical programs for year 12 leavers. :)
You don't need to do well in all sections you can do really well in two sections and do crap in the other one and still get 100.
eg. 100, 60, 99

Thanks Razizi, but the pdf always freezes my computer up
Hmm...Try the following steps:

Practice questions can be obtained in the following link: http://umatweb.acer.edu.au/documents/UMAT_Info_Book_pp11-13.pdf

1. Right click on the link above and click 'Save target as' onto your desktop.
2. Now right click on that file again, and find 'Open with'. Click.
3. Then choose a program for e.g. MS Word. See if that works. Try other multiple programs in relation to Adobe and MS Word.

Edit: It didn't work for me :(, but the pdf format set does.

i reckon the UMAT is a fairly thin gauge of someones actual ability in the medical/dental industry or whatever.. but i intend to sit it next year & give it my best shot. the only problem is that im incredibly bad @ multiple choice... past papers here i come!!
hm.. I don't know if I should do it. I really want to do accounting, but I wouldn't mind having something else to pursue in.
Is the UMAT exam free?

no, UMAT costs around $50, but don't quote me on it, however now, there will be a late fee incurred so yeah, it will be around 80ish to 100

No it isn't. But you should be able to afford it since you attend a private school :).

Wrong :). The registration fee is $160, and late registrations attract a fee of $55 extra.

Neither is it for me. But I don't know, I might do it for a bit of fun.
