Hmm... are there any online resources that would be really useful for a first year student like myself, especially because I have some subjects that require a lot of groundwork in matrices/vectors. There are other topics of course.

Would defs recommend Khan Academy and Dr Tisdell's Youtube channel

Since you're doing advanced mathematics, for first year single-variable calculus you should definitely try Calculus by Spivak.
I also have a multi-variable subject this session, not as vigorous though as single-variable stuff will be. Yeah thanks.
