As I am now an official USyd student, I'll have to say that Sydney rocks.

Then again, I've also heard that Engineering in UNSW is heaps good. I guess it depends. I've always been under the impression that if I wanted to do Arts, Sydney Uni would be the best to go to.

Well USYD has the biggest library in the southern hemisphere :p
Im happy with a 14 story library... (The UNSW library is 14 stories right?)

I think I was more attracted to Engineering and Science at UNSW, probably because I want to get into medical research later on...

Im not a big fan of Harry Potter either!

that's only correct if you add all their books in like 15 libraries spread across 15 campuses

I seriously don't know why there are these Universities versus Universities threads. Put it this way. UNSW is the Oscars, USYD is the Emmys. Does it mean because UNSW is the Oscars that means it has superiority over USYD? No. It is because one is for recognition for large scale films and the other, television. As a education perspective, UNSW offers different courses compared to USYD and USYD likewise. The Universities will suit one person, but not the other because of the course or other circumstances. Don't ask about UNSW v USYD, ask about how UNSW and USYD compare internationally.

No. The degrees are fairly similar and the graduates compete against each other for jobs.
