Do supervisors actually check individual calculators or no?

at my school, the teachers check to ensure your calculators dont have any illegal buttons, instead of checking the model number . But im not sure how the actual supervisors would do it

I doubt you could smuggle in a Ti-83 without getting noticed, but i remember my friend had a chinese fx-83 which looks exactly like the 82, but had a table function which actually let you compute the roots of equations.

I doubt the supervisor could tell the difference between the two

Yeah, i've come across some Casio graphic calculators that look exactly like the Casio fx-82AU. People with those have a fair chance of taking it in, cause the supervisors never individually check each students calculator

I guess the ones at my school are lenient then
Nevertheless, its never worth the risk of sneaking one in

Oh well, a super calculator like a ti wouldn't be too useful anyway, considering the amount of working out that needs to be shown

Yeah before you enter the room, they check the code for the calculator.

Will you really jeopardise your HSC by taking in a calculator that will give you next to zero help in the exam? Consider that!
