guess who cheated their way into winning one of twenty usyd economics pens @ the economics quiz

hahaha me :D

heres the question : what country has longest average working hours

a)australia
b)japan
c)us
d)uk

every1 including the lecturers (and me) thought it was japan

then the professor says "its australia"
and asks "who was going to say australia"

then i put up my hand desperately and won the beautiful gold + black pen by pretending i knew the answer hahah :D

Bastard. I was also there....I didnt remember that you said Australia. I know now why. Whatever,I'm not such a freak to go to Sydney and tell the professor you cheated(I'm going to call him:D). The quiz was really disappoting for me, pretty boring stuff.
So bad I didn't get anything:(

I don't know what was in the law lecture to be honest. The new and unconfirmed may be the proposed changes to the hecs structure?

These have yet to be passed by the senate but the proposed changes are:

If starting in 2004, fewer places may be offered---> higher UAIS.

Your hecs contributions will be set by the commonwealth until 2008, (unless you defer your enrolment or transfer). From 2009 USYD will set fees at 30% higher than current HECS payments (about $1150-$1900 increase per year, depending on your subjects). The minimum thresholds for HECS repayments will rise, but upfront payments discount will decrease from 25% to 20%.

The law lecture was probably Ron McCallum discussing the benefits of usyd law, small-group teaching, most electives, strong industry links, specialisation in international law etc etc...?

Most of the lectures are a bit meaningless (especially once u haven't yet been to unsw!). The law schools are pretty similar...look at external factors to decide at which uni you will be happier - 5 years is a long time! :)

i know! bloody jam-packed ecos lecture was boring, can be summed up as: "Is it Hard? it is if u wish it to be. Is it Fun? Absolutely!"...
but yeah, the main building and the quad is probly the biggest magnet of usyd personally.

I solved one problem that was piss easy, that area problem with screwed edge where the answer is 15 box.

Then I said to the lady : "The answer is 15".

She said "Yes", showing signs that she doesnt wanna give it off since it was too easy.

I said "Then I deserve a sticker". And I got one :D

i cant believe i said that, some people were looking at me :D
