I have a friend who is bottom ranked in every single subject. He is bottom ranked in physics, chemistry and biology which has around 45 people and he's bottom 5 in legal studies (70 people) and advanced english (65 people). He's been averaging 20-30% in all these subjects. He's been told numerous times that mystery mark is a big possibility for him if he doesn't perform well in the externals.

if he does get a mystery mark, will he still have a chance to be accepted into UWS college via Unitrack, Foundation Studies or Diploma program?

Unitrack required a minimum atar of 45, Foundation Studies and Diploma program require a minimum atar of 50. I've heard a lot of people say they got into courses where the cut off's were much higher than their atar so will he still have a chance of being accepted into uws college with a mystery mark even though it's below the cut off?

I feel really sorry for you,

Hopefully if get you act together and start working hard for HSC exam, you will get into Uni.

Here is my tips for your subjects, these tips will help you get top marks in HSC exam.

Chemistry + Biology + Physics, print the syllabus, then download notes of this site- go to resource section for these sciences. Then hand write each module, because you will remember much better in exam situation, or maybe you should change these notes into your own way to remember them well.

For english, practice essays about 3 essays for each module and AOS (belonging). Write a perfect Creative, then memorize it.

Legal is heavily content, again you should start making short summary notes about 10 pages for each topic. Then just study these notes.

Good luck :vcross:
