I'm not an engineering studies student but:Okay so the VR formula for hydraulics systems is D^2/d^2, where D is the output diameter and d is the input diameter. So if you sub the values in, you should get 6.25, which is then rounded to 6.3 (D)![]()
It's one of those questions where they give you more information than you need. The formula for efficiency is MA/VR, so if the question asks what is the MA of the system, then it would be C as 6.3 X 85%=~5.3. So, is it 5.3 = (6.25 * 0.85) ---- (C)
or 6.3 (D)
