Is there any other alternative pathways to get into the course? Transfer?

At UTS? What?

Anyway...
People who don't meet the cut off for vet science at USyd often choose to do a Bachelor of Animal and Veterinary Bioscience (at USyd) as it is quite similar in content and I assume it would be easier to do an internal transfer than an external one. You'd find that many students in this course are trying to transfer into vet science so it's pretty competitive.

One of the vets I worked with last year did a Bachelor of Science majoring in Chemistry and was able to transfer to vet science after a year.
So I guess you could do any science related degree, but be sure to get as much experience as possible and aim for at least a distinction average to give yourself an advantage.

The USYD website says that around 140 applicants are usually accepted. Does anyone happen to know how many of these applicants are usually transfer students and how many are high school leavers?
