was it even possible to work out the profitability ratio for that question???????

errr yeah i rekon!! where was COGS so i just used..... revenue as my gross profit :s

and den did the net profit ratio like dis
revenue - expenses/ revenue

err i bet u it's wrong but thats what i did

unf.. i got net profit ratio as 4000/12000 = 1:3
not sure about it thou..
anyone help out?

and for part 2 i got the working cap ratio as 1:1.

isnt profitablity worked out with net profit margin or gross profit margin or return on owners equity???????
and none of those could be worked out with the information we were given

you had to figure out the owners equity by using
a = l + oe (assets = liabilities + owners equity) and then use the return on owners equity ratio

net sales (revenue) x 100
---------------------------------
owners equity

well, that was what my teacher told me anyway

hahah thats exactly what i did!! just used gross profit as revenue (which i think is wrong but anyways it wa the only option) and then just did return on OE.....meh....BOS fucked it up not our problem

Yeah it was mucked up. I did gross profit ratio at first and then thought no COGS. So I did net profit ratio.. ahh

should be:

net profit (revenue - expenses) x 100

yeah pg5 is right... but lyk i wasnt sure whether they wanted net or gross.. so i did both..

i sorta expected it cuz in the past htere have been soo much finanical stufff.... but i am glad there werent any financial stuff.... cuz i never seem to get all of them right...

So did anyone actually answer in the form of Net Profit ratio? (as opposed to return on OE) - Both are profitability ratios btw.

I did.. I can't remember what i got, I thought I got 30% but i may be mixing it up with another question.

i think that generally there is one question that is financial ratios and anything related to it... and that happened this year...
except sometimes there is more in multiple choice i think
