Finished reading the Last Symbol by Dan Brown. I must say that it is very different from Angels and Demons and Da Vinci Code

I'm reading "Confederacy of dunces", and holy shit, has anyone noticed how ridiculously similar Iron and Ignatius are?

Ignatius loves to eat, and his masturbatory fantasies lead in strange directions. His mockery of obscene images is portrayed as a defensive posture to hide their titillating effect on him.

The Slap by Christos Tsiolkas

Though I've only read a few pages, it's very well written.

OMG. I've wanted to read that book. Is it any good? Although, to me (I've only read reviews) it seems to blow a small, simple incident out of proportion. But I guess that's what makes it work.

I've also hear that the characters are extremely un-likeable. Is this true?

I have begun reading Twilight again for the 4th time. I am also eyeing the new red-edged editions, as my copies are in tatters after lending my precious books to copious amounts of friends and family to spread the good stuff.
