It is a plug, but I don't get anything from you joining
I really do think you'd be mad not to join it (we had about 40 out 400 or so members signed up yesterday not even doing Business/Eco degrees). Great social events Plus amazing bag - itunes $30 card, marie clare/men's health magazine, coffee, free coffee at Azurris, fitness first 3 free visits, etc etc (plus stas secks )

O week was great today, so many clubs to choose from!

*The Wine Society (the dinners with plenty of wine were awesome last year)

I rejoined SUGS. There was a lot more happening at o-week this year, than last

i highly recommend ComSoc - even if you dont do any eco/business subs.

I think they wanted people to join only if u did comm/bus. I had 100000 people ask me if I was a comm/bus student and if i wanted to join their soc. Do i LOOK like a comm/bus student? lol They were all incredibly gorgeous though

I'm very disappointed with O-Week this year. Not one religious person tried to shove a flier down my throat.

They had a proposed club called BarSoc, where you learn to mix drinks and pour shots. I would have joined that.

I hate how they set up the fisher library tour thing, every half an hour they can only take 15 people and 12 tours a day or something.

I only found out about it late today and the whole list has been booked.

Do you think they would let me join? My grandparents were born in Turkey but the Turkish military massacred their family and turkish mobs lynched my greatgrandfathers so my family fled to Greece.

How do you think they would feel about me joining?

I could say that I wanted to join the Macedonian or Greek societies for the same reason wikiwiki. Or maybe the Armenian Students' group... how do you think they would feel about me joining?

The coordinators of the group aren't Turkish, the representatives that were there yesterday anyway. It's a group for not only Turkish students, despite its name, but also for those that "appreciate the Turkish way of life", which is apparently all about belly- dancing and baklava.

But the difference is, we are Turks.

And I could say that my great- grandparents were Greeks and Slavs. It's religion only that sent you to Greece, and me to Turkey.

EDIT: I totally respect and admire your sense of affiliation with Turkey- despite the atrocities of the past between two very similar people. Turko- Hellenic peace and friendship .

And the Japanese Cultural Society (Wasabi)!

And tomorrow if I feel especially nerdy I might join the anime one.
I want to check out the Kendo and Capoeira ones too.
