I didn't like ethical and technical issues arising from Mickey's friends requests, and I didn't like the options questions that asked for the Purpose, Participants, Data/Information, etc.

Other than that, I think it was pretty straightforward. What do you think?

Agreed. It was a pretty straightforward paper..

I had had enough of those information system diagrams by the end of it.. i thought I was seeing things!

Hehe, I did the Transaction Processing System question that incorporated the Information Systems diagram, started turning the page thinking "glad that's over", and then saw the almost identical diagram for Multimedia. *sigh*

It would have been better if I hadn't just come out of another exam. But, it was fairly ok...not too hard, but the same question for each option was pretty frustrating, I thought.

that was the most freaking awesome paper i have ever done!!
i didnt like the one in the multiple choice with the graph with the 0's and 1's.. i took a guess
and i didnt like the one of the ones in TPS

but apart from that it was awesome!

our teacher was waiting as we came out and said that they were 3 shitty questions, which i pretty much agreed on..

woohoo! we're done! no more IPT ever!!

exam thoughts

i agree that the exam was fairly straight forward. I hated those questions that were in the options with the info system diagram cause they took ages.

Okay, you don't have to call people "n00bs" for getting 1 mark off, unless you're prepared to admit to 100%, because 99% is "n00b"-like, because you didn't get that extra mark. So let's not call people names for missing out on 1 mark, if they believe it was correct at the time

I completely agree with you here hipsta_jess.

010 100 etc Multiple choice was pretty stupid, but I guess it was tricky for a reason ;)

I thought it was an awesome paper too, it sure beat my 2003 CSSA Trial, LOL! :D

I didn't mind the repetition, but I guess it got boring writing the purpose/information processes over and over :p

I honestly didn't think it was too bad. I just talked about three things:
1) His intellectual work being used with no compensation
2) Data privacy - his friends may not want his other friends seeing their information etc
3) Technical = filesize. Not that I put this example in, but you know how Hotmail has a 2mb inbox limit? Well a populated database could easily exceed 2mb. Not to mention the strains on bandwidth for uploading, download etc.

I basically said:

a) Privacy of the individual (ethical)
b) Technical - mail merging 'impossibilities' (technical)

Made up stuff though :p

Yeah thats what I put! I was a bit worried that I was missing the main issue though, was there another major technical issue?

This is what I put in the exam:

14 - B
16 - C

So yes, I did put it as well.

I thought about binary, see my exam paper.
2^0
2^1
I tried to make columns and work it out, but I figure it's too much of an effort for 1 mark :p (I wanted to get out of there after the 'pencil/pen' conundrum)

:)
