If someone's coming 1st and then 3 people tie on 2nd, the person that's next is coming 5th, in the hsc would that person technically get the 3rd highest internal assessment mark? Ad the people tied, would they all get the same internal assessment mark?

thanks

They have to each verse each other in "scissors, paper, rock" while BOS is watching. winner gets 2nd highest and loser gets the 4th highest despite same ranking.

jks hahaha

Nah what adrita and root said basically.

This actually wouldn't be a bad idea. I know in one of the history classes at my school, the people equal first didn't like that so the teacher proposed they flip a coin. Turns out, wasn't worth the risk

lol, thanks guys.

So what about the person coming 5th, does he/she get the 3rd highest mark (in accordance to the relative gaps) technically? Is that correct?

Actually. The school can alter the rankings. So it would be in their best interests to allocate the ranks according to trial performance.

1st srs post, congrats

This also, they would want all the internal marks going to someone who doesn't know what they're doing

No they would get the 5th highest, it's a pain.
FUCKKK no way! But isn't it like they look at the relative gaps and if the assessment raw marks are like:

Person A: 94%
B: 90%
C: 90%
D: 90%
E: 88%

Then shouldn't person E get the 3rd highest?

Yes like what Adrita said, you get the 5th highest mark which in this case is also happens to be the 3rs highest mark

Not really. That might be useful only for a first place tie. All other ranks are fair game.
