you miss an exam due to illness? I wasn't able to sit the exams today because I have chickenpox. Yeah I know great time to get them wasn't it?! I went to the doctor and got a certificate and my mum filled out one of those unattendance forms. So what actually happens to your result when this happens? Is it judged by your half yearlies or what? and does your mark suffer for it?

Talk to your school prinicipal/deputies as soon as possible so they can lodge an appeal to the board of studies for you to be given a school certificate, they might test you, but they will probably give you an estimation based on your school exam marks etc.

Yes, we've filled out an appeal. So I may have to be tested? I wonder if I will have to and if it'll be the same exam.

It won't be the same exam. I think they just give you your mark from your school assessment.
