^ for a course? and what distinguishes round 2 from round 1 offers?
is it likely i get an offer when my atar is less than the lowest atar last year?I think the lowest atar is the atar without adjustment factors or points. Lowest selection rank is the lowest atar including the adjustment points. Round 2 is when they give out more offers or something, but I’m not too sure about that
from my understanding its the selection rank that matters which is atar + additional points, like eas. The lowest atar would just be the lowest atar admitted pre adjustments. if its lower than the lowest selection rank the chances are small. you could check the median selection rank admitted which would probably give you more of an idea?is it likely i get an offer when my atar is less than the lowest atar last year?
i got an offer regardless. where can i view tables showing high, medium & low?from my understanding its the selection rank that matters which is atar + additional points, like eas. Prob not but it depends on the competition on what atar’s other people getis it likely i get an offer when my atar is less than the lowest atar last year?
Maybe on uac or the uni’s website for the degreei got an offer regardless. where can i view tables showing high, medium & low?
why are you worried if you have an offer? you should be able to find them on the website with ur course, probs under entry requirements? google it and it should probs come up. usyd seems to have their own area for it https://www.sydney.edu.au/engage/sc...rces/student-and-atar-admission-profiles.htmli got an offer regardless. where can i view tables showing high, medium & low?
unlikely, not impossibleis it likely i get an offer when my atar is less than the lowest atar last year?
I thought you had to be on the median selection rank to get in? You can see on student profiles.ATAR is meaningless to universities, they only care about Selection Rank. Take your ATAR and add all available bonus points you have (for UNSW this is going to be normally either be from Captaincy, Dux, EAPL, or most notably HSCPlus) and you get your selection rank. If your Selection Rank is > LSR, you’ll get in. The only time your ATAR is only considered is if you’re going through an early entry conditional offer, such as UNSW’s Gateway Program or UTS’ conditional offers, where bonus points are not considered.
No. For any course with a lot of placement (i.e. any course a BOS student might be interested in) you just need to cross the previous years LSR and you'll be fine. There may be a few exceptions from year to year. For example, apparently UTS Law's LSR this year is likely to be a point higher than last year, as UNSW Law was incredibly competitive this year and many people got rejected. Since UTS is the second preference for most people on UAC they had a lot more applicants. For shit that has virtually unlimited placements, like CS, Engineering, Humanities, Arts, Commerce, whatever, you'll get in with LSR. Median selection rank is only worth looking at for if you're applying for a course that has a non-ATAR additional test, like Medicine anywhere or Law at UNSW. It'll give you a good grasp on what ATAR you want to have because LSR could be someone with a crazy high LAT or UCAT.I thought you had to be on the median selection rank to get in? You can see on student profiles.
