I thought that Emily Rodda was actually a real name until you brought it up. Looks like we were both misled.

I know, I read aaall the time... and I always have- too much to be restricted to one main genre... I just love everything. Although not much sci-fi...

I worked at the Top Bookshop, it's quite small, privately owned in my area... I would LOVE to work at Borders! It'd be so awesome... gosh, so many books.

its not particularly the most sophisticated book.. but PAY IT FORWARD by catherine ryan-hyde...
ahhh most probably wouldve seen the movie version which is quite good but i just adore the book [read it in year 7 and am yet to find another copy sigh!]

otherwise HP is good, His dark materials trilogy and... wuthering heights?

Rozencrantz and Guildenstern are dead - Tom Stoppard.
It's actually a play, but its good nonetheless.

Also, Lord of the Flies (can't remember the author) must have been very well written because it had a huge effect on me. I hated it though, absolutly sickening i think.

haha.. i found it really hard to get into.. ie the tedious coin flipping scene..
and it was only really good after i had read hamlet.....[haha.. yeah stupid me..] but i liked the existentialism etc..

No, although an exerpt which may in fact have been the whole thing on reflection if it was a short story....(???) was in my theatre studies text book last year and i read that. twas quite funny really.
